Bathurst - New Brunswick - Canada Prime Black Bear & Moose HUNTING AREA All of our hunts take place in the northern part of New Brunswick, in the area designated as Zones 5 & 7. Together these zones cover an area of about 10,000 square miles of land and have a good resident black bear population. This is beautiful country, unspoiled and much of it untouched. There are lots of rivers, lakes and, believe it or not, the occasional fly or two! The area tends to be quite hilly with lots of healthy forest, much of it dense spruce. Part of the land has been harvested over the years and is now rich in new growth with an abundance of berries - a favourite staple of the black bear.
